Simpson ​​Funeral Home

So good to work with Mr. Allen Simpson of Simpson Funeral Homes in Roanoke, VA. This is the second facility we’ve had the privilege of working on and such a pleasure it has been.  This facility is located in a different area across town from his flagship facility – and as such, needed a different look – one that is suited to the surrounding neighborhoods.  This remodel started with an office building, with a square footprint and all exterior walls having floor to ceiling windows. The inside of the space was full of narrow corridors and tiny offices.  Initially, the task seemed rather daunting but we strategically located the front entry and kept rough plumbing in the same general area – then constructed a new footprint around these two goals. Mr. Simpson had definite ideas of how many people he’d like to seat in the chapel and how he wanted to utilize the space.  What you see if a new approach to today’s funeral home – one that is inviting, easy to be in and efficient for the owners and staff.
