Fausett Family Funeral Homes

Mr. Ryan Fausett of Fausett Family Funeral Homes had contacted FFH design about remodeling their primary location in Manistique, Michigan. The facility was built in 1893 and is nestled in a prominent location next to Lake Michigan, and a stones throw from Lake Superior. Originally a private family home, the facility was converted into a funeral home in 1940. Mr. Fausett purchased the funeral home in 2018 and wanted to update the facility for betterment of the business – but primarily for the community. We spent much time talking through his business brand and how he and his wife, Lindsay, wished the business to function on a day-to-day basis. From there, we treated every surface – from floors to ceilings – updating lighting and bringing in furnishings. We wanted to keep true to a coastal blue and stone, rustic palette. Yet all the while, keeping the design comfortable and honoring for the community. Thank you, Ryan, for your collaboration and well-thought through objective.
