Westchester Funeral Home

Ms. Carrie Benedict Foley is the owner of one of the first funeral homes in New York City. With a long-standing tradition of service to the community (including oversight of the funeral of President Garfield in 1881 to assistance with the funeral of President Grant in 1885) Carrie’s desire was to provide the best, most comfortable environment possible for her community. Here are Carrie’s comments about the project…

“After over 190 years of the Benedict family in funeral service in New York, and as an important presence in the lower Westchester community, the Westchester Funeral Home, Inc., was in need of an interior update which (would meet) the needs of the community we cherish. FFH design was called… as an interior design firm specializing in funeral homes. After meeting with the FFH design team and hearing (their) ideas of updating and refreshing the space, we hired them for a full renovation. The colors, furniture and design layout have been positively reviewed by our families as they sit with us, walk through our space and have friends and family gather. Amazing. Warm. Beautiful update. (These) are some of the descriptions we have heard since the renovation. We are very pleased with how inviting and welcoming our funeral home is. Thank you.”
